Mrs. Florence B. Lauver of Bird-in-Hand, Pa. died May 7 after an illness of 11 days. She was born June 2, 1894 in Lancaster County, a daughter of Jacob N. and Salina Yoder Beiler. For 24 years Mrs. Lauver and husband did missionary work in Argentina, S. A. Since returning to the States she had worked among Spanish-speaking people in Davenport, Iowa, and for the last ten years they have worked among Puerto Ricans in the Lancaster County area

Besides her husband she is survived by the following children: Lois Lauver of Wyckoff, N. J., Paul Lauver of Howe, Ind., Glen and Elton Lauver at home, and Mrs. Lester (Mary Lou) Blank, a missionary in southern Mexico. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Corinne Hartzler of Belleville.

Funeral services were held at New Holland Mennonite Church, where she was a member, conducted by Rev. Paul Erb and Rev. Donald Lauver.

Mrs. Lonnie Byler, 48, died suddenly at her home. She was born in Belleville in July 1917, daughter of Jonathan Y. Yoders. She is survived by her husband, Yost E. Byler, two half sisters and two half brothers. She was a member of the Rockville church where services were conducted by Rev. Chester Kanagy and Rev. Raymond Peachey. Burial was made in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Alta Detweiler, 81, died recently after an illness of three days. She was born in Nebraska, daughter of Otto and Sara Bentz. She is survived by her husband, Simon K. Detweiler, to whom she was married in 1920, two daughters and one sister, Mrs. Cora Zook.

Solomon Wengerd died suddenly in his harness shop. He was born Dec. 16, 1904 in Somerset County, Pa. Surviving are his wife, the former Emma Peachey, and a number of children, brothers and sisters. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. — Correspondent.
