Jesse W. Byler, 78, died suddenly of a heart attack Oct. 25. He is survived by his wife Amanda; six children, Sara Jane of Helmouth, Mo., Barbara Rogers of Grantham, Pa., Mary Grace of Rinehart, Ala., Mildred and Joe of Belleville, Pa., Jo Anne Plank of Mattawana, Pa., and Jean Byler of Harrisburg, Pa.; three sisters, Annie Glick of Sarasota, Fla., Mildred Miller and Amanda Hartzler; 17 grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at Locust Grove Mennonite Church, with Erie Renno, Gerald Peachey and Max Zook officiating. — Nancy A. Byler.
