CHILD RUNS TO GREET FATHER, IS RUN OVER BY SCHOOL BUS

Belleville, Pa. — A fatal mishap at the Bennett Byler farm near here March 25 claimed the life of Calvin Samuel Byler, 20 months old, who was caught under the wheels of a backing school bus driven by his father. Mr. Byler, bus driver for the K. V. Christian Day school, was backing the bus onto the farmyard after completing his afternoon route, and was unaware that his young son was running toward the bus to greet him.

Funeral services for the child were held at the Allensville Mennonite church, with Bishop Raymond R. Peachey and Rev. Elrose Hartzler officiating.
