Martha Busenitz
Martha Voth Busenitz was born March 24, 1914, to Henry and Katy Buhler Voth in Goessel, Kan., and died Nov. 7, 1985.
She was the eldest of four living children. Her formal education was at Goessel and Fairmount School; she attended high school at Whitewater and Newton.
She was baptized upon confession of faith by B. W. Harder and joined the Emmaus Mennonite Church, rural Whitewater, and remained a member there until her death.
On June 4, 1936, she married Herman Busenitz, with whom she shared 44 years of married life.
Many close friendships were made in the Potwin community which she continued to enjoy in her retirement years in Newton. She showed a dedication to her children by helping them develop in their school and Christian activities. Being a grandmother brought much joy to her life; she enjoyed giving little gifts to her grandchildren.
