Harrisonburg, Va. &#8212; Funeral services for Dr. John David Burkholder, 94, retired osteopathic physician of Park View, were held Sunday afternoon, Nov. 26, at Weavers Mennonite Church here. He died Nov. 23 after a year of failing health.

A native of this area, he graduated from the Shenandoah Collegiate Institute and the Philadelphia college of Osteopathy. He practiced in Lancaster and Reading, Pa. and later in Augusta and Rockingham Counties in Virginia. In addition, he was a talented musician and taught both voice and instrumental music.

Survivors include his third wife, the former Mary Catherine Barbe; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Bender of Goshen, Ind. and Mrs. Newton Weber of West Liberty, Ohio; one sister, two brothers, nine grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Retired Physician Of Harrisonburg Dies At Age of 94

Harrisonburg, Va. — Funeral services for Dr. John David Burkholder, 94, retired osteopathic physician of Park View, were held Sunday afternoon, Nov. 26, at Weavers Mennonite Church here. He died Nov. 23 after a year of failing health.

A native of this area, he graduated from the Shenandoah Collegiate Institute and the Philadelphia college of Osteopathy. He practiced in Lancaster and Reading, Pa. and later in Augusta and Rockingham Counties in Virginia. In addition, he was a talented musician and taught both voice and instrumental music.
