Ohio Youth Killed In Highway Accident
CAR CRASHES INTO REAR OF STALLED TRUCK NEAR NAPOLEON, O.
Archbold, Ohio. — Funeral services were held at the Lockport Mennonite Church Nov. 23 for Virgil Lee Burkholder, 19, who was instantly killed when his car crashed into the rear of a stalled truck at the Napoleon city limits Sunday, Nov. 20.
Officiating at the services were Walter Stuckey, Earl Stuckey, Simon Stuckey and Maynard Wyse.
It was reported that the truck river left the stalled truck on the highway with the left signal light turned on, and had gone for help. The Burkholder youth drove his car into the truck and pushed it about 40 feet forward.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Burkholder; two brothers Ernie Ray and Dale Allen; and the grandparents, Levi Burkholder of West Unity and Mr. and Mrs. Moses M. Burkholder of Los Angeles, Calif.
