HELENA PANKRATZ BULLER

Helena Marjorie Buller, 64, died March 20, 1988, in a Salem, Ore., hospital. She was a diabetic most of her adult life.

She was born July 9, 1923, in Loma, N. D., to David and Clara Loewen Pankratz. She often spoke of the times she helped her father with horses.

She received Christ at a revival meeting and was baptized on Aug. 22, 1937, by her great-uncle, B. B. Fodenrecht, minister of Rose Hill Mennonite Brethren Church. She moved to Oregon at the age of 18.

On Dec. 13, 1944, she married Edwin Jake Buller at Kinwood Bible Church, West Salem, Ore., with A. A. Loewen officiating. They lived most of their married life in Salem. She worked in a cannery before her marriage and after her children were grown.

She loved children and was a good homemaker. In 1956 the family moved into a single-level house which her husband had built. The wisdom of this move was proved later, for she was in a wheelchair for about eight years.

Her survivors include her husband, Edwin; a daughter, Carolyn J. Anderson of Oly, Wash.; three sons, Darrel G. Buller (adopted) of Atlanta, Ga., Maynard E. Buller of Gladstone, and Alan D. Buller of Oly, Wash.; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers and a step-mother.

Funeral services were held March 23, 1988, at Emmanuel (Mennonite) Bible Church, Pratum, with Ted Shickley officiating. Burial was at Belcrest Memorial Park, Salem.
