● A car-train crash in Medora last Saturday afternoon resulted in fatal injuries to an 18-year-old Inman youth and critical injuries to his 14-year-old brother and a Hutchinson youth. Eugene Buller, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Buller of Route 4, Inman died Saturday night in Grace Hospital, Hutchinson. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Inman Mennonite Church with Rev. Robert Siebert and Rev. Allen Kolmer officiating. Eugene's brother, Steven, sustained compound fractures of both legs and head injuries, while John T. Courtney, 15, had severe head injuries, fractures of the left shoulder and an injury to his left eye. The three boys were occupants of an auto which crashed into the engine of a Frisco freight train on K61. Surviving Eugene in addition to his parents and brother are another brother, Larry of Hutchinson, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Buller and Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Thiessen, all of Inman.
