MARGARET BULLER
Margaret Buller, daughter of Heinrich and Maria (Lorenz) Buller, was born in Hamilton County near Henderson, Neb. on Dec. 13, 1898, and died in Denver, Colo. on Feb. 19, 1974.
She was the youngest in a family of 14 children. He [sic] father died when she was eight years old, leaving her mother to provide for the large family. Her parents were married in Russia and migrated to America with three small children. Here they experienced the hardships of pioneer life. Margaret attended the rural school near the family home and secured a rudimentary elementary education.
She accepted Christ as her Savior as a teenager and was baptized and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church at Henderson on Aug. 7, 1917. She was always a spiritually concerned individual and was concerned not only about her own spiritual life but also about those close to her and others in general.
She continued to live with her mother and her sister Elizabeth after leaving the farm and retiring at Henderson, Neb. He [sic] mother died on March 5, 1924. After a few years Elizabeth and Margaret moved to Denver where sister Katherine and her husband lived at that time. Her sister Elizabeth died in 1934.
After some years Winigene Fleming moved into Margaret's apartment house and they became close friends. Together they sang and assisted at the Denver Rescue Mission for 20 years and helped in whatever way they could. They were much concerned to reach others with the Gospel and helped in support of a number of missions and radio programs. They were active in passing out Bibles, tracts, and Christian literature.
Margaret was the last surviving member of her family. Preceding her in death were 13 brothers and sisters: Peter, Susanna, Maria, Katherine, Anna, Helena, Sara, Heinrich, Elizabeth, John D., Justina, Frank and Martha. — The Nieces and Nephews.
