MRS. CHRIS BULLER

Lena Schmidt was born Sept 21, 1893, near dolton, S. D. and came to Montana with her parents, William P. Schmidts, in the fall of 1910. On Oct. 3, 1911, she was united in marriage with Chris Buller of Bloomfield, Mont. They lived on a farm 35 years and then purchased a home at 208 Gibson, Glendive, Mont., where she spent the remainder of her life.

In her youth she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour and upon confession of her faith was baptized by Rev. Dirk Tieszan and became a charter member of the Bethlehem Mennonite Church of Bloomfield. When the moved to Glendive, she became a charter member of the First Mennonite Church of Glendive.

During her married life she never was very well and consulted different physicians but without success. However she managed her household duties and attended church as regularly as possible. On March 25she became very ill which necessitated a doctor's call. The evening of March 29 she was admitted to the hospital and underwent successful surgery on Thursday, April 4. Two weeks later, April 18, she was able to go home but was readmitted to the hospital early Sunday morning, and early Monday morning she left peacefully to be with the Lord.

Lena Schmidt Buller, age 63years and seven months, leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Chris; seven children, Nellie, Mrs. Henry A. Becker of Glendive, Edward of Miles City, Henry of Frazee, Minn., Jeff of Creston, Mont., Charles of Washington, Neb., Melvin of Kansas City, Kansas, and Adeline at home; 17 grandchildren; four sisters and four brothers, Nettie Maier of Coronach, Sask., Ida, Mrs. Herb Rauch, of Lustre, Mont., Adina, Mrs. Ferdinand Janke, and Toby of Richey, Joe and Ben of Shafter, Calif., and Lydia Holzwarth and Dan of Glendive; besides a number of uncles and aunts, and many counsins [sic] and a host of friends.

Four children, William, Roy, Salina and Frieda, four grandchildren, and her parents preceded her in death. — The Family.
