FRANK BULLER
Frank Buller was born to John and Agnetha (Toews) Buller on Aug. 4, 1885, at Lehigh, Marion County, Kansas. When he was five years old he moved with his parents to Hamilton County in the vicinity of Henderson, Neb. In 1899, when but a lad of 14 years, he moved with his parents by covered wagon to Munich, N. D., a trip that spanned a period of four weeks.
As a young man he worked for his living at various places — Fargo, N. D., Spokane, Wash., Portland, Ore., and Butte, Mont. He homesteaded in the Chinook, Mont. area in 1914. In 1923 he went to Redwood City, Calif. where he worked in a cement plant for several years. Prior to his residence in Winton, Calif., he worked as a painter in Modesto, Calif.
On Sept. 6, 1942 he married Elisabeth Rempel. To this union were born two children, a son, Frank, and a daughter, Dorothy. The family moved in 1948 to a ranch northwest of Dinuba to enable the children to attend Immanuel Academy. Retiring from the ranch, they moved to their present location in July 1967.
One of the highlight experiences came to the Bullers when their children arranged their 25th wedding anniversary observance on Sept. 6, 1967.
Father became seriously ill on April 8 and had to be hospitalized. At first he was still able to speak a few words, but his condition grew steadily worse. After 23 days of hospitalization, he departed to be with Christ on April 30, 1969. He attained the age of 83 years, eight months, and 26 days.
His zest for living, his sociableness with young and old, his willingness to help the needy, his keen interest in the welfare of his children — these, and many other qualities of his character will ever remind us of the kind and loving Father we have had. But the greatest cause for rejoicing and comfort to the family is the fact that he received Christ as his personal Savior just before he became most seriously ill, and while he was fully conscious.
Surviving him are his wife and son of San Jose, Calif.; one daughter Dorothy, and her husband John Lentz of Gilbert, Ariz.; one brother, Abraham, of San Jose, Calif.; and many relatives and friends.
We console our hearts in the confidence that Father went to be with Christ, and that we shall be reunited in the day of our Savior's glorious return. — Mrs. Elisabeth Buller and Family.
