EMIL BULLER
Emil Buller, son of David and Eva Jantz Buller, was born Oct. 28, 1887, near Hillsboro, Kansas. In 1894 the family came to Oklahoma, homesteading near Fairview.
It was here in a revival meeting that he found the Lord as his personal Saviour. He was baptized upon the confession of his faith and was later received into the fellowship of the Saron Mennonite Church where he remained a member until his death.
On Feb. 17, 1927, he was united in marriage with Alvina Nightingale. He lived in the Orienta and Fairview communities most of his life, except for a few years spent in eastern Oklahoma.
To this union were born three sons, Eugene, and two sons who were still-born and were laid in the family burial lot in the cemetery near Orienta, Okla.
Father enjoyed outdoor life and was in fairly good health until the last few years when he began to fail physically. Suffering without complaint, especially these last weeks, he carefully set his house in order and was ready to meet his Lord in glory.
Shortly before entering the hospital the last time, it was his desire to have a reunion with his sisters, brothers and their families. This request was granted him on Dec. 10. He was weak, but it was his last good day of visiting loved ones here. Soon after that he entered the hospital for the last time.
On Jan. 4, just as the night broke into a beautiful day, his soul fled quietly away into the eternal realm.
He attained the age of 74 years, two months and six days.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife Alvina of the home, one son, Eugene of Fairview, Okla.; one daughter-in-law Irene and one grandson, Lonnie Buller; three brothers, Benjamin of Fairview, David and wife Sarah of Cleo Springs, and Herman and wife Hulda of Orienta; four sisters, Helen, Mrs. John Ratzlaff of Long Beach, Calif., Agnes, Mrs. Herman Ratzlaff of the Fellowship Home in Fairview, Minnie, Mrs. Jake Thiessen of Rogers, Ark., and Eva, Mrs. John Thomas and husband of Ringwood, Okla. Two sons, his father and mother and four brothers preceded him in death.
The memorial service was held on Jan. 7 at the Saron Mennonite Church near Orienta, Okla. with the pastor, Rev. A. C. Siebert, officiating.
