ANNA LOEWEN BULLER
Anna Loewen Buller, the eldest daughter of Isaac and Helena Reimer Loewen, was born Dec. 3, 1880, and departed this life to be with the Lord April 3, 1951, at 9:00 p.m. at the age of 71 years and four months.
She was born near Hillsboro, Kans., and grew to womanhood there as they continued to live in nearby communities.
On May 25, 1896, at the age of 16 years she was baptized upon the confession of her faith by Elder C. H. Regier of the Zion Mennonite church of Elbing, Kans., who gave her two precious Scripture passages, Romans 6:11 and I Tim. 6:11, 12.
In 1898 she, with her father and mother and family, came to live three miles west and one and one-half north of Orienta, Okla. and her membership was transferred to the Saron Mennonite church where she has worshipped all these years.
On Dec. 30, 1900, she was united in marriage with Ben H. Buller by Rev. Christian Ramseier, who was the elder of the Saron Mennonite church. She continued to live with her family in this community.
On Dec. 31, 1950, although already ill, she was privileged to celebrate in her home, together with her family and friends, the golden wedding anniversary by singing of hymns, testimonies, poems, prayers and a sermonette by Rev. H. P. Fast.
She was blessed with fairly good health except for a rheumatic ailment. She definitely began failing in health about a year ago and suffered much pain as the days slipped into months, taking heavy toll of her failing strength. During this time she had many visitors who were often impressed by her resigned will and her uncomplaining spirit. Many prayers went up in her behalf that she might be tocched [sic] by the healing hand of God as she was lovingly cared for by her family in her home.
On April 3 her day was filled with pain earlier than usual but she had calmer moments and much transpired wihch [sic] we now hold dear to our hearts. We especially cherish her last earnest and wonderful prayer, prayed only about an hour before passing from our presence. This was soon followed by great pain and her clear ringing voice calling out to the Saviour, "Come my Lord Jesus, come."
She now dwells where there is no pain, only fullness of eternal joy. We miss her but we want to meet her there. She leaves to mourn her departing the following: her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Valeria Hamm, Mrs. Helen Harms of Cleo Springs, Mrs. Enid Loewen of Kansas, Bernice of the home; five sons, Paul of Fairview, Leo of Bessie, Joseph of California, Alva of Kansas and Cleophas of the home; three sons-in-law; four daughters-in-law; 18 grandchildren; two brothers, Paul of Inola, Dave of Fairview; two sisters, Mrs. Louisa Hiebert of Kansas and Mrs. Sarah Voth of Fair-view; many other relatives and friends. One daughter, Alma, at the age of seven years preceded her in death.
