Retired Farmer, Church Worker dies in Florida

Kidron, Ohio. — Funeral services for Alfred L. Brenner, 73, former Wayne County farmer and a retired church worker, were conducted May 19 at the Crown Hill Mennonite Church near Rittman.

Mr. Brenner died May 15 at Sarasota, Fla. after suffering several strokes. He and his wife moved from Wayne County, O. to Spartansburg, Pa. in 1942. There he was a pioneer mission worker, helping in the establishment of the Briton Run Mennonite Church. He had served as deacon of this church.

Mr. and Mrs. Brenner had been spending their winters at Sarasota. Their family includes four daughters, one son, 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
