MOSES H. BRENNEMAN

Moses H. Brenneman, son of Moses and Mary A. Siemens Brenneman, was born near Elida, Ohio, March 31, 1881. On March 9 he was stricken with cerebral thrombosis and was critically ill until his death. After being a patient in Lima Memorial Hospital for one month, he passed away on April 4, 1962, at 2:30 a.m., aged 81 years and three days.

In early life he united with the Mennonite Church and remained faithful to the end. On Oct. 12, 1910, he was united in marriage to Lillie Mae Geiger who passed away Dec. 22, 1957. Also six brothers, two in infancy, and John M., Simeon, Rhuda and Adam, preceded him in death.

As a husband, father and grandfather, he was loving and devoted. As a brother, uncle and friend, he will be remembered for his kindly way and ready smile.

He was a lifetime resident of the Elida community except for the last few years. For nearly four and one-half years he has been residing near his daughter, Geneva Harshbarger and family in West Liberty, Ohio.

He leaves to mourn his loss, two daughters, Mrs. Orrie (Geneva) Harshbarger of West Liberty, Mrs. Hiram (Gladys) Benneman [sic Brenneman] of Lima, Ohio; two brothers, Andrew and Alpheus, both of Elida; two sisters, Martha and Mary of Elida; and five grandchildren.
