MRS. ANNA V. BRENNEMAN

Mrs. Anna V. Brenneman, wife of Jacob A. Brenneman of near Elida, Ohio, died at 12:45 Sunday morning, July 12, at the Lima Memorial Hospital following an illness of five months. She had been seriously ill for three weeks. She was 70 years of age.

Born April 3, 1889, in Rockingham County, Virginia, to John and Anne Swartz, her family later moved to Allen county, Ohio. She was married to Jacob Brenneman on August 22, 1907.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, William, three daughters, Mrs. Merle (Edna) Stemen, Mrs. Paul (Freda) Smith, and Mrs. Richard (Elizabeth) Ross, all of the Elida community; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Stalter of Elida, and Mrs. Ina Shenk of Phoenixville, Pa.; and four brothers, Clyde Swartz of near Lima, Jacob Swartz of Detroit, Mich., William Swartz of Davisson, Mich., and Alden Swartz of Sebewaing, Mich.

Mrs. Brenneman was a member of the Pike Mennonite church where funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon. Officiating ministers were Harold Good, Otho Shenk, and Richard Martin. Burial was made in the Salem Cemetery.
