MRS. MARGARET BRAUN

Margaret Heinrichs Braun, daughter of Abraham and Helena (Peters) Heinrichs, was born on Oct. 13, 1884, in York County, Neb. Here she spent her early childhood days and later moved to Joes, Colo. with her parents.

At a very tender age our mother accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, and on June 22, 1896, she was baptized upon her confession of faith and united with the Mennonite Brethren Church.

On March 27, 1902 she was united in holy matrimony with Isaac Braun. She thus assumed the responsibility of being a mother to a little girl. The Lord blessed this union with 11 children. Two sons, Jacob and Abraham, preceded her in death. In 1944 our father passed away.

About a week before her passing she was committed to the hospital with a severe case of flu. This seemed to be over, and she was dismissed from the hospital and ready to go home. However, before she left the hospital the Lord called her suddenly through a heart attack. Her time of departure was about 2:30, Feb. 20, 1964. She reached the age of 79 years, four months and seven days.

Those who remain to mourn her departure are: Six daughters, (Mary) Mrs. Jacob Epp of Los Angeles, (Helen) Mrs. Clarence Higden, Elizabeth of the home, (Susie) Mrs. Frank Klassen, and (Louise) Mrs. Jack Fast, all of Reedley; and (Irene) Mrs. Ernst Fast of Bakersfield; four sons, John Heinrichs of Joes, Colo., Jacob of Reedley, Cornelius of Burlington, Colo., and David of Surrey, B. C.; 30 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.

The memorial service was held on Feb. 24 in the Mennonite Brethren Church of Reedley, Calif., with Rev. Dan Friesen officiating. — The Family.
