Isaac E. Braun, son of Isaac and Sarah Friesen Braun, was born Dec. 26, 1897, in Hamilton County, near Henderson, Neb. As a young man he spent almost four years in Canada. The rest of his life was lived near his place of birth.

Upon his confession of faith in Christ as his Savior, he was baptized and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church at Henderson June 27, 1915. On Nov. 19, 1922, he was united in marriage to Emma Peters. Two sons and two daughters were born to this union.

Mr. Braun was a farmer all his life. He found great delight in his vocation, in which he labored hard to the very end of his physical resources. He endeavored to be of assistance to his family even when his bodily strength was depleted. In all experiences he proved himself a man of great patience and kindness both to his family and to his many acquaintances.

After an automobile accident in 1947, Mr. Braun's health failed gradually. During his illness she often suffered intensely, but he accepted his affliction with amazing endurance. He was very grateful for doctors' and nurses' care, and for all visits made to him.

On Nov. 21,1958, at 7 o'clock in the morning, he departed to be with the Lord at the age of 60 years, 10 months, and 27 days.

His parents, one infant brother, one infant sister, and one son-in-law preceded him in death.

Left to mourn his passing are: his sorrowing widow, Mrs. Emma Braun; two sons, Wilfred and Irwin of Hampton, Neb.; two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Gerdes of Aurora, Neb. and Mrs. Marilyn Koop of Hillsboro, Kansas; eight grandchildren; one brother, Jacob I. Braun of Henderson; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Fahdenrecht and Mrs. Marie Fahdenrecht of Joes, Colo., Mrs. Agnes Klassen of Greeley, Colo., and Mrs. Elizabeth Regier of Henderson.

— Isaac E. Braun, 60, who farmed near Aurora, Neb. for about 30 years, died recently at his home in Henderson, Neb. Mr. and Mrs. Braun had moved into their new home in Henderson only about two months earlier. He was a member of the Mennonite Brethren church of Henderson, where the funeral services were conducted.
