ARNOLD BRAUN

Arnold Braun died peacefully Sept. 15. He was born Aug. 20, 1932 in Turnhill, Sask. to John and Helen Braun. Music was a large part of Arnold's heritage. This includ- ed playing mandolin and harmonica, and singing in male quartets, choirs, and at family gatherings. He accepted the Lord as his Saviour and was baptized at 18. While attending Herbert Bible School, Arnold met Hulda Redekop and they were married Aug. 23, 1953. They moved to Swift Current, Sask., where Arnold started a construction com- pany. Yearly trips were taken to many locations in North America. Arnold enjoyed coin col- lecting, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and reading. He was a great storyteller, had a zest for life, and provided wise counsel. He lived out his faith as a man of integrity in the business community. Arnold served on various church and conference committees, and was a prayer warrior. Predeceased by an infant son; 1 broth- er; 1 sister; he is mourned by Hulda; children Barbara (John) Doerksen, Kerry (Sheila), and Leanne (Ken) McConnell; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 6 brothers. The funeral was Sept. 19 at Bridgeway Community Church, Swift Current.
