• Funeral services for Mrs. Henry J. Brandt, 76, who died Dec. 27 at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel, were held Saturday afternoon at the Tabor Mennonite Church, with Rev. Edwin R. Stucky in charge. The former Sara Schmidt, her first marriage was to A. J. Schmidt. He died in 1940, and in 1951 she was married to Henry J. Brandt of Goessel. He died in July 1967. surviving are three sons, Simon J. and Art A. Schmidt of Walton, and Eldo of Newton, two daughters, Mrs. Ed Goossen of Colby and Mrs. Orie Lehrman of rural Newton, two step-sons, Elmer Brandt of rural Canton and Milford Brandt of rural Newton, two step-daughters, Mrs. Adolf Bartel of rural Hillsboro and Mrs. Waldo Flaming of Reedley, Calif., two brothers, four sisters, and a number of grandchildren.
