Death Claims Former Pastor at Mt. Lake

Mt. Lake, Minn. — Rev. Henry H. Brandt, 57, who served as pastor of the Evangelical Mennonite Church here for 10 years, died at the Bethel hospital on Jan. 28.

Funeral services were conducted at the local church on Jan. 30, after which the body was sent to Steinbach, Man., his former home, for final services and burial.

Rev. Brandt had suffered from a heart condition since 1960, and resigned from the pastorate about a year ago. A native of Steinbeck, he operated the Brandt Plumbing and Heating business there until called to the pastorate in Mt. Lake.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, both of Wheaton College; one grandchild and three sisters.
