T. C. BOSHART
Tresler C. Boshart, son of Joseph F. and Emma Ackerson Boshart, was born June 22, 1901, in Wayland, Iowa and passed away at his home in Cucamonga, Calif. on Aug. 3 at the age of 56 years, one month and 12 days.
As a young man he was baptized by Rev. S. Musselman and became a member of the First Mennonite Church of Wayland. After coming to California he transferred his membership to the First Mennonite Church in Upland where he remained faithful and loyal to the end.
On May 29 he suffered a severe heart attack and was rushed to the San Antonio hospital where he remained for 65 days. An additional heart seizure kept him in a critical condition.
Aug. 3 was a happy day for him. After showing some improvement for several days, he was permitted to go home and spent six hours in the family circle at home. However, at 7:00 o'clock, without any warning, he suffered another attack which proved fatal.
Survivors besides his widow, two daughters and a son are a sister, Mrs. Alta Boersma, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jerry Boshart, also many other relatives and a host of friends. The church, too, has lost a valuable member. He served as deacon, president of his Sunday school class, member of the choir and men's chorus.
Funeral services were conducted at the church on Aug. 6 by his pastor, Rev. Paul Goering. Many came from far and near to pay respects to the departed and the profusion of flowers spoke of the high esteem in which he was held. An octet sang two numbers.
Interment was made in Bellevue cemetery.
