The lad was driving a team of horses pulling a loaded manure spreader when he somehow slipped and fell to the ground. The spreader ran over him and came to a stop with a front wheel on his chest.

BOY KILLED WHEN PINNED UNDER WHEEL OF MANURE SPREADER

Centreville, Mich. — Funeral services were held in the Amish settlement here April 4 for 12-year-old Andrew Bontrager, son of Min. and Mrs. Reuben S. Bontrager who met instant death in a farm accident.

The lad was driving a team of horses pulling a loaded manure spreader when he somehow slipped and fell to the ground. The spreader ran over him and came to a stop with a front wheel on his chest.
