Retired Merchant Dies At Age 80

Ephrata, Pa. — John M. Bomberger, 80, retired businessman and life-long resident of the Elm community, died on Feb. 21 of a heart attack.

For many years Mr. Bomberger was associated with Bomberger's Store in Elm, founded by his father and now continued by his sons. He was a former insurance agent and director of the Mount Joy Mutual Insurance Company, and served on the Lancaster Conference Relief Committee. He was postmaster of Elm for 35 years.

Funeral services were held Feb. 26 at Erb's Mennonite Church, where he was Sunday school treasurer for many years.
