HENRY BOLDT

Henry Boldt was born on November 4, 1911, in Alexanderkrone, South Russia, the son of Johann and Agatha Boldt. At the age of 14 he came to Canada where, with his family, he lived first in Alberta and then in Saskatchewan. In 1935 he came to Ontario and lived in the Vineland-Jordan area. After his marriage in 1940, he and his wife lived in Vineland until they moved to a farm in Jordan Station in 1955. For tile last ten years he was employed by General Motors of Canada.

Henry was saved at the age of 18 and upon his confession of faith was baptized and accepted into the Hepburn (Sask.) Mennonite Brethren Church. There were hard years of doubt and testing for him, but the Lord in his grace restored his faith and gave joy and assurance of salvation again. He passed away on April 22, 1969.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Elizabeth; his children, Jack and Hilda of Vineland, Walter, Victor, David, Alvin, Irma, Susan and Elizabeth; his mother, Mrs. Agatha Boldt of St. Catharines; four brothers, John of Vineland, Jake and Cornelius of Hepburn and Abe of Dalmeny; two sisters, Mrs. George (Elizabeth) Braun of Clearbrook, B.C. and Mrs. Peter (Agatha) Penner of St. Catharines, and many relatives and friends.
