PETER BOLDT
Peter Boldt was born in Lichenau, South Russia on December 28, 1896, the son of Peter and Anna Boldt. As a child he moved with his parents to Terek near the Caucasian Mountains. During the First World War, Mr. Boldt served in the medical corps. At the time of the Revolution his parents were driven from Terek and returned to Lichtenau. In 1923 he was married to Anna Bergen with whom he enjoyed 30 years of married life. After her death he married again, in 1958, to Anna Voth. Mr. Boldt moved to Canada with his family in 1924 settling first at Kitchener, moving later to Leamington and then returning once more to Kitchener. During this time he made his livelihood as a carpenter. He accepted Christ as personal Saviour at the age of 28 and in 1945 he was baptized upon his confession and accepted into the Kitchener Mennonite Brethren Church. He taught a Sunday school class for some time. He died May 6 in Kitchener at the age of 68 years. He is survived by his wife Anna, five daughters, one son, one step-sister, and four grandchildren.
