JACOB J. BOLDT

Jacob Boldt of Hepburn, Sask., passed away on June 1. He was born to John and Agatha Boldt in Alexanderkrone, southern Russia, on March 2, 1904. At the age of 19 he accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. That same year he was baptized and received into the "Allianz" Mennonite Brethren Church. On October 1, 1924, he was married to Louise Gross. Through God's providence, the young couple were able to emigrate from Russia in 1926, settling eventually near Hep burn, Sask. As a farmer, contractor and a farm implement dealer, he contributed much to community and church life.

He is remembered by his family as a loving husband and father. He had great concern for the salvation and spiritual growth of his children and grandchildren and his many friends. He was predeceased by a son Jacob, brother Henry, an infant sister and an infant grandson. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise; two sons: John and wife Anna of Hepburn, and Henry and wife Deanna of Saskatoon, Sask.; two daughters: Mary and husband Norman Jantzen of Saskatoon, and Betty and husband Dan Willems of Hepburn; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and many friends and relatives. The funeral service was held in the Hepburn Mennonite Brethren Church, with John E. Klassen and H.M. Willems officiating.
