EMMA ELIZABETH BOESE

Emma Elizabeth Boese was born Oct. 28, 1877 to Andrew and Agneta Unruh Buller near Wayland, Iowa, and passed away July 31, 1967, at the Rocky Mountain Osteopathic Hospital at Denver, Colo.

On June 29, 1899 she was married to Abram M. Boese near Springfield, S. D. In 1907 they along with other families moved by train to Kit Carson County, Colo. and took up homesteads.

Mrs. Boese was a rural correspondent for the Seibert Settler and the Mennonite Weekly Review for many years.

Her husband and son, Joseph Reuben, preceded her in death.

She loved to read the Bible, and the last day at her daughter's home she was reading Psalms 119.

Surviving are four daughters and one son, Mamie Anderson and husband E. A. of Minneapolis, Minn., Helen Kindsvater of Coldwater, Kan., Andrew Boese and wife Alice, Lakewood, Colo., Kathryn Herman of Conifer, Colo., Clara Summers and husband A. L., Santa Ana, Calif., a sister, Ida Boese, and a brother, Chris Buller, Glendive, Mont., 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Burial was made at the Mennonite church south of Vona, Colo.
