● Funeral services for Wayne E. Boese, 55, of Newton, were held April 28 at First Mennonite Church, Newton, with James Dunn officiating. burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. He died April 25 at Newton Medical Center. A native of Garden City, he was a longtime Newton resident and a salesman for Roberts Wholesale for the past 17 years. Survivors include his wife, Joan (Graber); one daughter, Brenda Jo Barger of Wichita; four brothers, Howard and Dale, both of Newton, Warren of Walton and Cecil of Kingman; three sisters, Irene Kaiser of Wellington, Dora Riley of Plano, Texas, and Jean Friesen of Boise, Idaho.
