HIGHWAY ACCIDENTS DURING CHRISTMAS

SEASON FATAL TO TWO

Hutchinson, Kan. — Funeral services for Edith Marlyn Unruh, 13, who suffered fatal injuries when struck by a car near here Christmas eve, were held Sunday afternoon at the Zoar K.M.B. Church near Inman. Rev. D. C. Pauls and Rev. Lester Morgan officiated.

The fatal mishap occurred near the Unruh home southeast of Hutchinson when a car driven by Harlan E. Rice of the Hutchinson Naval Air Station struck Edith a she and her hister [sic] Erna were walking along the road. Visibility was poor due to rain.

Edith was brought to Grace Hospital here, but was prounced [sic] dead upon arrival.

Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Unruh, two brothers and seven sisters.

MRS. LENA BOEHS

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Mrs. Lena Kahn Boehs, was born Oct. 2, 1888, in Marion County, Kansas. She departed this life Dec. 25, 1957, at the age of 69 years, two months and 23 days.

She was the daughter of Henry and Mary Kahn. At the age of six years she with her parents came to Fairview, Okla.

She was united in marriage to Henry J. Boehs on Oct. 31, 1907. To this union were born two sons and two daughters. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1942. Also one son and six grandchildren preceded her.

She leaves to mourn her departure one son and two daughters, Dave of Ringwood, Okla., Mrs. Cornelious Frantz of Durham, Kan. and Mrs. Fred Ratzloff of Afton, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson; two sisters, two brothers, and a host of relatives and friends.

The circle now is broken, but thanks be to God through our Lord Jesus Christ, it will again be complete on the resurrection day. — The Bereaved Children.
