Miss Tina Block, director of mission services for the General Conference Commission on Overseas Mission, was called to Steinbach, Manitoba, due to the death of her father, Julius Block, which occurred there on Saturday, March 25. Mrs. Block died unexpectedly from an apparent heart attack. During his retirement years he had remained active in various woodworking projects, the latest being construction of spinning wheels. Only a few weeks ago the Carrillon News carred a picture of Mr. Block with one of the spinning wheels he had made.
