• Two aged members of the Parkview M. B. Church in Hillsboro died late last week after long illnesses. Mrs. Eva Block, 78, wife of John Block, died May 25 at Salem Hospital. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Parkview Church, with Rev. Orlando Wiebe and Rev. LaVern Loewen in charge. Mrs. Block, the former Eva Ratzlaff, was formerly employed in the telephone office at Buhler and Inman. Mrs. Peter D. Reimer, 93, died Friday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Herman Sommerfeld of rural Canton where she had lived for some years. the funeral was conducted Monday forenoon at the Parkview Church by Rev. Orlando Wiebe. Mrs. Reimer was born in South Russia and came to the Canton area with her parents as a child. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Sommerfeld are another daughter, Mrs. Anna Young of Hesston; one son, David P. of Canton; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
