Dutch Church Leader Dies In Amsterdam

Amsterdam, Holland. — Cornelis Hendrik Blaauw, 49, did unexpectedly in Amsterdam on Oct. 3. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 6.

Mr. Blaauw held a number of important positions in the Dutch Mennonite church. He was secretary for the Stichting voor Bojzondere Noden, bookkeeper for the A.D.S., treasurer for the Brotherhood House at Schoorl, and recently he was appointed treasurer of the Gemeenschap foor Doopsgezind Broederschapswerk (Fellowship for Mennonite Brotherhood).

He also participated in inter-Mennonite relief activities, such as the work of Menno Heim in Berlin, the Mennonite returnees to Europe from South America, etc.

He was present at the Mennonite World Conference in Kitchener this summer. While in Kitchener he attended an international meeting of relief organization officers.
