A very devoted member of the church, never absent from Sunday school or services if possible. She will be greatly missed by all. |

Bixel. — On June 12, near Bluffton, O., Fanny, widow of Peter Bixel, aged 80 years, 2 months and 28 days. Funeral services and interment at Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery, Rev. W. S. Gottschall officiating. Mother Bixel was the first child born in the Swiss settlement around Bluffton. She was a woman of a noble Christian character, a great reader and well versed in the Scripture, having committed whole chapters to memory. A very devoted member of the church, never absent from Sunday school or services if possible. She will be greatly missed by all.
