RICHARD BISHOP

Richard Bishop was born June 4, 1935 at Phoenix, Ariz.

In May 1960 he was baptized by Chet H. Schaberg upon the confession of his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and admitted into the fellowship of the Gospel Tabernacle Church at Salem, Ore.

Richard died Sunday morning, April 8, 1962, at the University of Oregon Medical School Hospital in Portland. Funeral services were held April 12 at 2 o'clock.

He had been in ill health with diabetes since the age of seven and the illness left him blind two and a half years ago. He was 26 years old.

He was married to Dorothy Fast, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fast, on June 5, 1958, by Rev. H. D. Burkholder in the Grace Mennonite Church, Dallas.

Survivors include his widow Dorothy; two children, Karen, two, and Darlene, one; his parents Fred Bishop of Brooks, Ore. and Mrs. Donald Carter of Falls City, Ore.; two brothers, Fred Ray Bishop of Woodburn, Ore. and Lawson Bishop of Kansas City, Mo.
