ABRAM P. BERGMANN

Abram P. Bergmann of Steinbach, Manitoba, passed away on January 10 at the age of 87 years. He was born in Ladekopp, South Russia, in 1,884. At the age of 23 he accepted the Lord as his Saviour and throughout his life remained a faithful child of God. In 1912 he was united in marriage to Tina Wiens, and together they shared almost 59 years, experiencing much joy and many hardships. They emigrated to Canada, in 1925 with seven young children. After settling near Steinbach, Man., he became one of the founders of the local MB Church there. Later the family moved to Ste. Anne, Man., where for many years he conducted services for a group of believers. In 1949 they retired to Steinbach and spent more happy years surrounded by children and grandchildren.
