Local News

. . .

— Herman Bergman, 67, a bachelor who lived alone on his farm south of Halstead, was found dead in his kitchen on Tuesday morning by a neighbor, Charles Hughes, who had gone over to shear some sheep for Mr. Bergman. A doctor was called and according to his opinion Mr. Bergman had been dead for some time, perhaps since Sunday. it is thought that heart attack was the cause of his death. Funeral services were held at Halstead on Wednesday. Henry Janzen of 118 East Second street is a half-brother of Mr. Bergman.
