DAVID WESLEY BERG

David Wesley Berg was born at K Colorado, U.S.A . on January 4, 1894 Wilhelm and Katharina (nee Bergth Berg. He spent his childhood and most o youth in the U.S .A. At age 16, following conversion, he was baptized and acce into the North Hoffnungsfeld Menno Brethren Church at Fairview, Oklahoma.

In January, 1924, he was married Agnes Dahl at Colby (Salem) Kansas. marriage was blessed with three sons two daughters. In 1924 they came to W heirn, Sask., but went to California a years later to attend the Bible Institut Los Angeles (BIOLA) and then retur to farm at Waldheirn. Here he also mana the local co-op business for a number years . On October 5, 1937, while the fam was young, it pleased the Lord to call h his beloved wife, Agnes. In Septembe 1938 he was married to Helen Regier. T marriage was blessed with two daughters.

In addition to his occupation, he always an active member of his chu serving in the teaching ministry and as c director for many years, training for wh he had received through studies with Columbian Conservatory of Music and at dance at the Baptist Theological Seminar Los Angeles, Calif., from which he g uated. In 1960 he retired to Saskatoon, Sa He was faithful member of the Central Church there at the time of his death an veteran member of Gideons International.

He enjoyed a full, rich life of unusu good health and was always active in family, church and community activit During the last few months, however, developed a muscular ailment for which was eventually hospitalized. On Novem 10, he passed into the presence of the Lo He reached the age of 80 years, 10 mon and 6 days.

He leaves to mourn, his loving wife, He four daughters ; Pauline and Mal Schm Kay and Al Wiebe, Lois, Lydia and C Friesen; three sons, Menno and Alice, R and Trudy , Harold and Edna; 18 gra children and one greatgrandson; two sist Mrs. Henry S. (Marie) Dahl and Ella; t brothers, Daniel and John; and a host other relatives and friends. He was pre ceased by his parents , his first wife, Agn three sisters, five brothers and one grandson.
