Charles M. Benjamin, 60, a former Bethel College professor and Harvey County Commissioner, died Dec. 13 in Reno, Nev., after battling cancer.
Benjamin served as a commissioner for 16 years. At Bethel, he taught courses in environmenta studies, American government and international relations. Benjamin also was a lobbyist and attorney for the Kansas chapter of the Sierra Club.
