Metamora, Ill. — Mrs. Ida Belsly, resident of the Metamora community for many years, died at a Washington nursing home Aug. 23 at the age of 89. Funeral services were held at the Calvary Mennonite church in Washington on Aug. 25, Rev. Ben Esch of Tiskilwa in charge.

Mrs. Belsly was a lifetime resident of central Illinois. Her father, Michael Foster, laid out the village of Deer Creek. She was born near there Nov. 4, 1863, and lived at Metamora following her marriage to Joseph Belsly in 1882.

Daughter of Illinois Pioneer Died at 89

Metamora, Ill. — Mrs. Ida Belsly, resident of the Metamora community for many years, died at a Washington nursing home Aug. 23 at the age of 89. Funeral services were held at the Calvary Mennonite church in Washington on Aug. 25, Rev. Ben Esch of Tiskilwa in charge.
