Canton, Kan.&mdash;Rev. John A. Becker, one of the oldest ministers of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, died May 1 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. A native of the Moundridge community, he would have reached his 90th birthday on May 23.

John A. Becker, 80, 104 Ivy St., Nampa, died Sunday afternoon at a Nampa hospital following a brief Illness.
 
 
He was born Aug. 7, 1879, at Lincoln, Neb. He homesteaded near American Falls about 1910, and moved to Nampa in 1917, where he worked as a miller for the Scott mill until his retirement 11 years ago. He married Rachel Hornbacker at American Falls, Oct. 27, 1914. She died in Nampa, Oct. 14, 1956.
 
 
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harlan Burkholder, Melba; a son, John R. Becker, North Hollywood, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs. Anne Deabold, Kedrick., Mrs. Agnes Friesen, Mamouth, Ore., Dr. Mary E. Becker, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Helen Wilson, Long Beach, Calif;, and Mrs. Margaret Lacy, Los Angeles; two brothers, Abe Becker, Anaheim, Calif., and Henry Becker, Moses Lake, Wash.; and five grandchildren.
 
 
Services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Dickard-Edmunds chapel. The Rev. Lamar Bollinger will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
