• Bernard B. Becker, 95, longtime resident here, died Aug. 7 at the Bethel Home for Aged. Services at the Draper-Cannon Chapel on Wednesday afternoon were conducted by Rev. Robert Suderman, pastor of the First Mennonite Church of Halstead, of which Mr. Becker was a member. He was a native of the Moundridge community and the family pioneered at Meno, Okla. Mr. Becker was a carpenter most of his life. He married Lena Ratzlaff in 1913, and she died in 1934. In 1955 he married Ella Schowalter. who died in 1970. Survivors include four daughters, Rosalie Evans of El Dorado, Naomi Inghram and Lois Stroud, both of Newton, and Dorothy Casebeer of McPherson; three step-daughters, Otille Wiebe and Alvina Pjesky, both of Newton, and Josephine Refsguard of Tracy, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Anna Ratzlaff of Meno; 25 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
