He was born in Wayne County, Ohio on Sept. 3, 1868, and came to Pandora as a young man. His wife, the former Catherine Nusbaum, died in 1963. Surviving are five sons, one daughter, 30 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Grace Mennonite church, Pandora, where the funeral was conducted by Rev. Virgil Gerig.

Resident of Bluffton Home Dies at Age 99

Bluffton, Ohio. — William Baumgartner, 99, long-time resident of the Pandora community and more recently a guest at the Mennonite Memorial Home here, died March 21 at the local hospital.

He was born in Wayne County, Ohio on Sept. 3, 1868, and came to Pandora as a young man. His wife, the former Catherine Nusbaum, died in 1963. Surviving are five sons, one daughter, 30 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Grace Mennonite church, Pandora, where the funeral was conducted by Rev. Virgil Gerig.
