The four children of this union all died and ehr second husband in 1878, since which time she lived as widow to her end. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three sisters and two brothers.

Baumgartner. — Den 6. Februar bei Berne, Ind., Witwe Katharina Baumgartner, geb. Lehman, im Alter von 87 Jahren, 5 Monaten und 22 Tagen. Sie wurde im Kanton Bern, Schweiz geboren. Im Juni 1837 verehelichte sie sich mit Johannes Baumgartner, welche Ehe mit 4 Kindern gesegnet wurde, von denen ihr 3 (2 in der Schweiz und 1 Sohn in Amerika) im Tode vorangegangen sind. Der Gatte starb im Jahre 1851 und 1852 wanderte sie mit ihren 2 Kindern nach Amerika aus und verehelichte sich im nämlichen Jahre mit Prediger Christian Baumgartner. Dieser Ehe sind 4 Kinder entsprossen, die ihr aber alle im Tode vorangegangen sind. Ihr zweiter Gatte starb im Jahre 1878. Müde und lebenssatt, ist sie im Glauben an den Herrn Jesum und der Hoffnung des ewigen Lebens den Vorangegangenen nachgefolt. Sie hinterläßt 1 Sohn (Dr. C. C. Baumgartner, Elkhart, Ind.), 5 Enkel und 1 Urenkel. Die Leichenrede über Ps. 90, 12 hielt J. W. Kliewer von Wadsworth, O.
