Kansas Men Killed In Car-Truck Crash

Buhler, Kan. — Funeral services were conducted Tuesday forenoon at the Buhler Mennonite Church for Edwin Baumgarten, 52, one of two men fatally injured in a car-truck crash near Florence on June 12. Rev. Harold Thieszen, the pastor, officiated.

Mr. Baumgarten, a resident here, died of his injuries Sunday morning at St. Luke's Hospital, Marion. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, and leaves his widow, the former Winifred Campbell, two daughters at home and a son of Kansas City.

The collision took place at the intersection of US-50 and US-77. The truck driver, 49-year-old Oswald R. Vogt of Kansas City, was dead at the scene.
