Retired Bluffton Merchant Died
Pandora, Ohio. — Funeral services for N. W. Basinger, well known retired merchant and civic leader of the Bluffton community, were held at the First Mennonite church there Oct. 18, Rev. Alvin Beachy officiating. He died Oct. 14 at the home in Bluffton, reaching the age of 86.
Mr. Basinger and his brother Noah founded the Basinger Furniture store at Bluffton in 1902. In earlier years he had been a teacher and bookkeeper, and held offices in both the county and township governments. He was an active member of the Bluffton congregation, at one time serving as Sunday school superintendent.
