• Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Bartel, 77, widow of Jacob G. Bartel, were held Nov. 12 at the Johannestal Church near Hillsboro, Rev. Henry Goossen officiating. She died Nov. 9 at Salem Hospital in Hillsboro. Among the survivors are a son, Richard Bartel of Newton, and a brother, Harrison Unruh of North Newton.
