Katherine M. Bartel, born April 13, 1881, near Moundridge, Kansas, died at her home early Sunday Monday morning, August 31 [Note: August 31st was Monday]. Early in her youth she was baptized on the confession of her faith by Rev. S. S. Baumgartner and received into the fellowship of the Garden Township church, Moundridge, Kansas, of which she remained as a faithful member until her death.
