BLIND RESIDENT DIES

Hillsboro, Kansas. — Funeral services were held at the local M. B. church Tuesday afternoon, April 3, for Frank H. Bartel, blind operator of a broom factory here for many years. Mr. Bartel, who was not in the best of health in recent years, had retired some time ago.

He lost his eyesight at the age of 21, but later prepared himself for a useful trade by attending a school for the blind. He died in a Wichita sanitarium.
