• Funeral services for Mrs. Ben J. Bartel, 56, a lifetime resident of Marion County, were held March 15 at the Brudertal Church near Hillsboro, with Rev. Walter Neufeld and Rev. Arnold Funk officiating. Mrs. Bartel died unexpectedly at the home near Hillsboro on March 12. Besides her husband she leaves three daughters and one son and their families; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Funk of Hillsboro; two brothers and one sister.
